All roads lead to Wigan Pier

75 years after George Orwell published - 'The Road to Wigan Pier', and one year after Brexit I returned to my hometown of Wigan to document its inhabitants. The project took 18 months to complete and 50k pictures that was later edited into an exhibition at the Turnpike gallery in Wigan and was made into a hardback book. The thesis of the project was to discuss how trauma is past down through generations and how it influences the culture of today. The book contains photographs and allegories with juxtaposing text from George Orwell.
